2024 Annual Meeting Registration

The OTSA annual meeting will be held from 6 to 8 June 2024 at Hellenic College/Holy Cross (Boston) with the theme of: Who am I? Who are we? Orthodox Christian tradition and questions of identity. Conference papers and panels will explore and respond to the various layers and expressions of identity as understood in our society today.

Call for Papers

The deadline for paper proposals is 15 April. Paper and panel proposals should include an abstract of less than 250 words and an abbreviated CV of the presenter(s), sent to the OTSA secretary, Helen Theodoropoulos, at secretary@otsamerica.org or helen60076@yahoo.com. Paper sessions will be 30 minutes in length, and will consist of a 20 minute presentation and 10 minutes for discussion. Panels may be scheduled for 60 minutes. Proposals will be considered for acceptance on a rolling basis, as they come in, with notifications sent out shortly after review. Please note that all presenters must be current in their dues.

The Florovsky Forum (Friday 7 June)

For the first time, we are holding the Florovsky Lecture as a Forum with four of the distinguished retired faculty of Holy Cross, and founding members of OTSA, who will share their perspectives in a Roundtable presentation and discussion. We are honored to have Rev. Dr. Alkiviadis Calivas, Rev. Dr. George Papademetriou, Rev. Dr. Theodore Stylianopoulos, and Dr. Lewis Patsavos offer their reflections on “Orthodoxy: Yesterday and Today.”

Travel Grants

Ten grants for up to $500 each, to cover travel expenses and lodging in the dorms, are available for presenters who attend the entire conference and apply for assistance. You may apply for the travel grant as soon as your proposal is accepted, and grants will be reviewed and approved on a rolling basis.

Conference meals (Thursday dinner, Friday breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and Saturday brunch) can be purchased for $50. Attendees will also have the option of staying in the dorms at HCHC for a minimal fee ($30 per night); bedding will be provided, but not towels and toiletries.
